Far From The Tree Cider is a craft cider company specializing in unique, high-quality hard cider made from local ingredients.  Most apples don’t fall far from the tree, and the ciders made from them are generally quite similar.  We are making a craft hard cider based on a very different philosophy.  Far From The Tree respects tradition by controlling the entire production process from apple pressing straight through to bottling.  Our cider is made with local apples and exclusively natural ingredients.

Hops and Crops Dinner

  • Gibbet Hill Grill 61 Lowell Road Groton, MA, 01450 (map)

Celebrate autumn's harvest and meet local growers as you taste what this quintessential New England season has to offer!

Join us on November 2nd for the 2nd Annual Hops & Crops farm-to-fork dinner with beer pairings provided by local craft brewer, Idle Hands Craft Ales!

An extended cocktail hour will feature passed and stationed hors d'eovures where guests can meet Gibbet Hill Grill Chef, Tom Fosnot, and learn about how he keeps up with abundance of produce growing on Gibbet Hill Farm. Our own Gibbet Hill Farm manager, Molly DellaRoman, will join other local growers, including Fat Moon mushrooms, to share their experiences of growing and producing food in New England.

After the cocktail hour, commune with other guests during a thoughtfully prepared family-style dinner.

To top off this special dinner event, Idle Hands Craft Ales will showcase their Massachusetts-brewed ales and lagers, carefully selecting each brew to match the cuisine. Meet a member of the Idle Hands crew as they explain the methods of creating their specialty small-batch craft beer.

Seating is limited, and we will seat in rounds of 8-10. If you are dining with friends, please let us know (in the notes during check out), so we may seat your party together. $85 per person, including tax and gratuity.
